Profile

Following the completion of the existing Makola Shopping Mall, which catered largely for the then social problem of relocating he displaced tenants from the burnt Makola no. 2 market, the second phase was to have undertaken as a purely commercial property and rented on economic basis and also to constitute a major facelift within the central business district of the city. Hence the Makola shopping Mall Phase II.

The Makola shopping mall phase ii project sited on 1.28 acre land adjoining the existing Makola shopping mall commenced in April, 2015 and was completed in March 2017.

The facility, a multi-commercial property comprises 209 shops with ensuite washroom facilities, a Bank, restaurants an event Centre, a clinic, pharmacy, a 3-level 300 capacity car park, public washrooms, security post, firefighting equipment, as well as a refuse disposal unit among others.  The Makola Shopping Mall Phase II also has ancillary facilities such as a public address system, CCTV cameras, a parking control system, 3 elevators, 2 stand-by generators, access for the physically challenged, walkways and linkages to the existing Mall.

Tenancies commenced in April 2017 and currently occupancy is at 75% with a few unoccupied shops on the 2nd floor.  On display are jewelry, hair extensions, fabrics, clothes, textiles, electronic appliances, cookware, cosmetics, beauty products, lingerie, groceries, floral, gift items, beads, party items, shoes and bags, stationery, toiletries, confectionery, mother care, perfumery among others.

This shares the same location with the main Makola Shopping Mall, Accra Central.
