Our History

MMC Property Management Limited (MMCPML) traces its roots to the Makola Market Company, which was formed in 1994 in response to the devastating fire that destroyed the original Makola No. 2 Market in 1993. The company was tasked with rebuilding and managing shops, offices and other facilities at the Makola area in Accra’s central business district.

For nearly two decades the company focused on constructing and operating market and mall facilities. In 2011 the organisation adopted its current name—MMC Property Management Limited—to signal a broader mandate that includes residential and commercial property management in addition to traditional market management. This evolution reflects our commitment to supporting Ghana’s growing real‑estate sector.

Today MMC oversees a diverse portfolio of properties ranging from modern office towers to bustling retail markets. Our mission is to develop and manage facilities using cost‑effective techniques to optimise shareholder value, while our vision is to become the leading and most efficient facility management company in Ghana and beyond.
